Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Vikings have signed wide receiver Greg Jennings to a five-year, $47.5 million contract, the team announced on Friday evening.
Only $18 million of Jennings' contract is guaranteed, and the five-year length can give Minnesota fans hope the team has found its top wide receiver for the next several seasons.
The 29-year-old Jennings played the past seven seasons with Green Bay, though he played in just eight games last season while battling through an abdominal injury.
Jennings has played in 96 games during his career, all with the Packers, totaling 6,537 receiving yards and 53 touchdowns over that span.
The announcement comes just days after Minnesota traded away wide receiver Percy Harvin to Seattle, leaving open the role as the team's leading pass-catcher headed into the 2013 season.
