The Minnesota Twins failed in their attempt to sweep the Chicago White Sox on Thursday, as the Sox shut out the Twins 11-0. The loss snapped Minnesota's 6-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, the Twins took the series, winning 2 out of 3 games, and hold an 4-game lead in the American League Central division standings.
Minnesota's starting pitcher Carl Pavano was rocked for 7 runs and 15 hits in six plus innings of work. Pavano fell to (15-8) on the season.
The Twins begin a series with the LA Angels at Target Field on Friday night.
