St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Minnesota Wild has signed defenseman Brian Connelly to a two-year contract, the team announced Friday on its website.
The former Colorado College player split time last year with two teams in the American Hockey League (AHL), totaling six goals and 46 assists in that 2011-12 season.
Connelly has played that past two seasons in the AHL all-star game, and last year he represented the Western Conference in the all-star fastest skater competition.
