St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Minnesota Wild have signed Denver sophomore forward Jason Zucker to a three-year contract, the team announced on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old Zucker, a second-round draft pick of the Wild in 2010, scored 46 points for Denver this season in helping the Pioneers to the NCAA tournament.

Zucker and the Pioneers knocked the UMD Bulldogs out of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Final Five tournament this year before falling to North Dakota in the title game.

Minnesota is currently 13th in the NHL's Western Conference and expect Zucker to join the team for Thursday's game against Florida.
