Denver, CO (NNCNOW.com) --- For the first time in five years, the Minnesota Wild are playoff-bound, thanks to goals from Zach Parise, Devin Setoguchi, and Pierre-Marc Bouchard, beating Colorado 3-1 Saturday night.

After losing to Edmonton Friday night 6-1 at home with a playoff-berth on the line, the Wild rebounded on Saturday to clinch the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

Niklas Backstrom had 29 saves for Minnesota who will face the top-seeded Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the playoffs.

With both Detroit and Columbus winning earlier in the night, it was a must-win for Minnesota.
