Detroit, MI (NNCNOW.com) --- Vance Worley failed to record his first win of 2013 for the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night, lasting on 4.2 innings on the hill in his team's 6-1 defeat against the Detroit Tigers.
Worley allowed six earned runs on 10 hits during the outing, dropping the Twins' Opening Day starter to (0-4) on the year.
Justin Verlander, meanwhile, was his usual self for the Tigers. He went seven innings, allowing one earned run on five hits while registering eight strikeouts.
Minnesota is now (11-12) overall this 2013 season and will finish out its three-game series with Detroit at 12:08 p.m. on May 1.
