Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- USA Hockey and Minnesota Hockey are teaming up to host a clinic for those with physical or developmental disabilites this Saturday at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth.
Specialized coaches for sled hockey and special hockey will be on hand to run on-ice clinics, though on-ice participation is not necessary for those in attendance.
The event will be hosted by Kelly Erickson, assistant professor in occupational therapy at St. Scholastica, and Christian Koelling, Minnesota District co-chief for USA Hockey.
The event begins at noon on Saturday and runs until 2:30. Participants do not need to own hockey equipment, but are invited to bring their own helmet or skates if they have them.
The event, put on in partnership with Courage Center in Duluth, coincides with Hockey Day Minnesota 2012.
