Melrose, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Lakeview Christian Academy junior Anders Broman scored 71 points on Saturday in his team's 114-110 overtime loss to Melrose.
The game is the second-best single game performance in Minnesota boy's basketball history and keeps Broman on pace to break the state's all-time scoring record.
Broman is currently the state's second career all-time leading scorer behind Kevin Noreen and earlier this season became Minnesota's youngest player to reach 3,000 career points.
Lakeview Christian Academy falls to (19-5) with the Saturday afternoon loss.
