Bayfield, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Lakeview Christian Academy junior Anders Broman is now only 42 points shy of tying the northeastern Minnesota boy's basketball scoring record.
Broman scored 48 points on Thursday night in his team's win over Bayfield, putting him at 3,250 career varsity points.
That mark is just 42 shy of 1991 Chisholm graduate Joel McDonald, who finished his career with 3,292 points.
Broman has already become the youngest Minnesota basketball player to reach both 2,000 and 3,000 career points, and he is also chasing the state record of 4,086 held by Kevin Noreen.
