Bulldogs Highlight WCHA Scholar Athlete Awards

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Nine UMD men's and women's hockey players are part of a record 96 Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) players named scholar-athlete award recipients.

Senior men's goaltender Kenny Reiter is making his fourth appearance on the list, and sophomore goaltender Aaron Crandall earned the honor for the second time. Those two are joined by freshman defenseman Luke McManus, a first-timer on the list.

For the women, senior captain Kacy Ambroz, senior defenseman Mariia Posa, senior goaltender Lana Steck, junior forward Audrey Cournoyer, junior defenseman Vanessa Thibault, and sophomore forward Jamie Kenyon all earned the WCHA honor.
