Worcester, MA (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #2-seeded UMD men's hockey team beat #3-seed Maine 5-2 on Saturday night in the NCAA Northeast regional semifinal and are now just one win away from the Frozen Four.
The Bulldogs fell behind 2-0 in the game, but rallied to score the next five goals in the winning effort.
Jake Hendrickson scored two goals, including the game-winner and an empty-netter, and UMD also got tallies from Jack Connolly, Caleb Herbert, and J.T. Brown.
UMD will now face #1-seed Boston College in the Northeast regional championship, with faceoff for that game set for 7:04 p.m. CST on Sunday night.
