Worcester, MA (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD goaltender Alex Stalock has been recalled to the American Hockey League's Worcester Sharks, it was announced on Monday.
The 24-year-old has not played a game for Worcester since suffering a season-ending injury in February 2011.
He recently returned to game action with the Stockton Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League, another minor league affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks.
The former Bulldog is (5-1) in six starts with Stockton and boasts a 2.83 goals against average and .914 saves percentage.
Stalock is UMD's all-time leader in both saves percentage and goals against average. He also led the Bulldogs to a WCHA Final Five tournament title and NCAA tournament appearance in 2009.
