Detroit, MI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former Duluth Huskies pitcher Drew Smyly made his major league debut on Thursday, earning a no decision with the Detroit Tigers.
Smyly, a 2009 member of the Huskies, went four innings as the team's starting pitcher, allowing four hits and one earned run.
The 22-year-old left-hander was named to the starting rotation just days before the 2012 regular season began, and Thursday marked his first chance at playing time.
Smyly went (0-3) in seven starts during his one season with Duluth, amassing a 3.32 earned runs average and 44 strikeouts.
