Greyhounds' Woodard Named Mr. Basketball Finalist

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Duluth East senior Johnny Woodard has been named one of five finalists for the 2012 Mr. Basketball award, given to Minnesota's best senior player.

Woodard has averaged more than 21 points per game this season while leading the Greyhounds to their second consecutive Class AAAA state tournament.

The senior forward was injured at the beginning of the season but returned to help his team to a (20-8) overall record.
