Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UMD senior Jack Connolly helped lead the UMD Bulldogs to the first-ever men's hockey national championship last winter.

Next season, he'll get the chance to do it again as a captain.

The former Duluth Marshall Hilltopper was named the team's captain for the 2011-2012 campaign this past week, with seniors Cody Danberg and Brady Lamb serving as the alternate captains.

Connolly led the Bulldogs in points and assists in 2010-2011, good enough to have him named as one of the top 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Award.

Zach Schneider sat down with "Captain Jack" to talk about the national championship, next season, and what he will be doing in between.
