Brooklyn Park, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Lakeview Christian Academy junior Anders Broman scored 30 points in his team's 90-88 loss on Saturday afternoon, leaving him 14 points shy of becoming northeastern Minnesota's most prolific scorer.
Broman is chasing the record of 1991 Chisholm graduate Joel McDonald, who scored 3,292 varsity points during his high school career.
After Saturday's contest, Broman has 3,278 just midway through his junior season. McDonald's mark is most likely to fall this Friday, February 3, when Lakeview Christian Academy visits Cherry.
Broman is also chasing the all-time state scoring record of 4,086 points, currently held by Kevin Noreen of Minnesota Transitions.
