Lightning Draw #2-Seed Roseville in State Quarterfinal

St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Grand Rapids-Greenway girl's hockey team will play #2-seed Roseville in the opening round of the MSHSL Class AA state tournament, it was announced on Saturday.

The Lightning are one of four unseeded teams in this year's tournament and randomly drew Roseville as their first round opponent.

The quarterfinal matchup is set for 11:00 a.m. on February 23 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Grand Rapids-Greenway beat Elk River-Zimmerman 2-1 in four overtimes to win the Section 7AA title and enter the game with an (18-7-3) overall record. Roseville enters the tournament with a (24-2-2) record.
