Grand Rapids, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Grand Rapids-Greenway center Molly Illikainen was named Thursday as one of ten finalists for the Ms. Hockey Award, given annually to Minnesota's top senior girl's high school hockey player.
Illikainen has 41 points in only 18 games this season for the Lightning, scoring 24 goals and recording 17 assists.
The senior center played with Team USA over the holiday break at the IIHF Under-20 Women's World Championships, helping the Americans to a silver medal finish.
Illikainen has committed to play her college hockey for Division I Providence, a team that plays in the Hockey East conference.
Grand-Rapids Greenway is ranked #20 in the latest Let's Play Hockey online poll, currently sitting with a (14-7-3) record.
