Ashland, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The St. Scholastica softball team set a new program record on Saturday afternoon, winning its 19th consecutive contest.
The Saints beat Presentation 11-3 and then defeated Minnesota-Morris 5-4 as part of the 2012 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Crossover.
St. Scholastica had already wrapped up the UMAC regular season title, the team's fourth straight conference championship.
The team is (29-8) overall this season and (20-1) in conference play. Their next engagement is set for April 30 on the road against Gustavus Adolphus, with first pitch set for 5:00 p.m.
