Grand Rapids, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Grand Rapids coach Bruce LaRoque and junior defenseman Jake Bischoff said before Thursday night's game it would feel good to be the first to beat this year's Duluth East Greyhounds.
Unfortunately for the Thunderhawks and their fans, that didn't happen Thursday at the IRA Civic Center in Grand Rapids.
Jake Randolph, Alex Toscano, Meirs Moore, and Dom Toninato scored goals for the Greyhounds, who stayed undefeated with the win.
Paige Skoog made 24 saves in goal for Duluth East in the game, a rematch of last season's Section 7AA championship.
Avery Peterson scored twice for the Thunderhawks, and Jake Bischoff tallied two assists in the losing effort. Grand Rapids falls to (10-5) this season with the loss.
