UWS Knocked Out of WIAC Playoff Position

Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UW-Superior baseball team was knocked out of a playoff position in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) on Saturday, falling 6-1 and 6-5 to UW-La Crosse.

Superior native Mike Swanson pitched game two for the Yellowjackets, striking out six batters across a full nine innings.

UW-Superior is now (17-16) overall and (8-10) in WIAC play this season, currently sititng in fifth place in the conference.

The Yellowjackets will host another doubleheader against UW-La Crosse on April 29, with first pitch set for 12:00 p.m. at Wade Stadium in Duluth.
