VIDEO: LCA's Broman Earns National Honor

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Lakeview Christian Academy junior guard Anders Broman was awarded with a national player of the month award on Wednesday afternoon before a gathering of his family and friends in Duluth.

The honor was given to Broman by the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) and GTM Sportswear.

He helped the Lions this season to a (25-6) overall record and the school's first-ever apperance in the MSHSL boy's state basketball tournament.

The junior guard owns several scoring records across the region and state, including this year setting a new Minnesota single-season scoring mark.

He also became the fastest player in state history to eclipse 3,000 career points, and his 3,834 career points are second only to the 4,086 of Kevin Noreen.
