Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The foundation for what is now known as UMD football was built decades ago with the hiring of head coach Jim Malosky.
Malosky coached the Bulldogs for more than four decades, amassing 255 wins, compared with only 125 losses and 13 ties.
The legendary coach died of respiratory failure on Sunday, December 4 at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis, at the age of 82.
