  Ashland, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The St. Scholastica softball team set a new program record on Saturday afternoon, winning its 19th consecutive contest.

• UWS Knocked Out of WIAC Playoff Position

  Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UW-Superior baseball team was knocked out of a playoff position in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) on Saturday, falling 6-1 and 6-5 to UW-La Crosse.

• Saints Men, Women Win 16th Straight UMAC Tennis Titles

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Both the St. Scholastica men's and women's tennis teams won their 16th straight respective Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) regular season titles on Saturday afternoon.

• First Black NHLer O'Ree Visits Northland

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- It was 1958 when Willie O'Ree broke the color barrier in the National Hockey League. He has since been dubbed the "Jackie Robinson" of hockey.

• Carlton's Godbout Tosses Perfect Game

  Moose Lake, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Carlton senior Colton Godbout threw a perfect game on Thursday night as the Bulldogs baseball team beat Moose Lake 7-0 on the road.
