  Cloquet, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College baseball team earned its first-ever win on Tuesday afternoon, beating Mesabi Range Technical College 14-13 in game two of a doubleheader.

• Interview: UMD's Captain Jack Connolly

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UMD senior captain Jack Connolly signed a professional deal on Friday to play in the Swedish Elite League, that coming one week after he won the 2012 Hobey Baker award.

• Former Bulldog Reiter Makes AHL Debut

  Wilkes-Barre, PA (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD goaltender Kenny Reiter made his professional debut on Saturday night, starting in goal for Bridgeport of the American Hockey League.

• Engelstad Sets Records, Saints Win 100th Straight

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- St. Scholastica senior Jacob Engelstad broke a pair of program records and the Saints men's tennis team won its 100th straight conference match on Saturday.

• Former Trojan Ohaju Sets St. Scholastica Records

  River Falls, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- St. Scholastica freshman runner Laurel Ohaju broke a pair of program records on Saturday afternoon, helping the Saints women to a fourth-place finish at the Falcon Invitational.

• Former Bulldog Oullette Lead Canada to Gold Medal

  Burlington, VT (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD Bulldogs Caroline Oullette scored the overtime game-winner on Saturday night, helping Canada to a 5-4 win over the United States in the gold medal game of the 2012 IIHF Women's Hockey World Championships.

• Waidacher Sisters Help Swiss to First-Ever Bronze

  Burlington, VT (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Monika and Nina Waidacher, both members of the St. Scholastica women's hockey team, helped Switzerland earn its first-ever bronze medal on Saturday in the 2012 IIHF Women's Hockey World Championships.

• Captain Jack Named USCHO Player of the Year

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UMD senior captain Jack Connolly was named Friday as the 2012 U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO) player of the year, adding to a slew of postseason awards for the Duluth native.
