  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- St. Scholastica junior outfielder Kyle Flagstad has been named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference offensive player of the week, it was announced on Tuesday.

• Former Bulldog Brown Switches Numbers, Plays Well

  Tampa, FL (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD standout J.T. Brown has now played two games with the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, and he has already made a uniform change.

• UMD's Connolly Named Premier Player of the Year

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UMD senior captain Jack Connolly was named Tuesday as the 2012 Premier Player in men's college hockey, that according to fan voting conducted by the Premier Players Sports Foundation.

• Former UMD Assistant Coach Chu to Captain Team USA

  Colorado Springs, CO (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD women's hockey assistant coach Julie Chu will serve as captain of Team USA in the upcoming 2012 IIHF Women's Hockey World Championships, it was announced on Tuesday.

• Former Bulldog Brown Shines in NHL Debut

  Tampa, FL (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD Bulldog J.T. Brown not only made his NHL debut on Saturday night with the Tampa Bay Lightning, he made a couple bids at his first NHL goal.

• Interview: Former Bulldog Travis Oleksuk

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UMD senior forward Travis Oleksuk signed on Tuesday a free agent contract with the NHL's San Jose Sharks.
