Barnum to play for Class A Championship

By KBJR News 2

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ Barnum made enough of its late free throws to
hold off New Life Academy 64-to-61 in the Minnesota Class 1A girls'
basketball semifinals at Target Center.
Katrina Newman had 19 points for the Bombers, followed by 18 from Megan Myhre and 17 from Lea Nordvall. The Bombers will play Saturday in the state title game.
Cara Lutes led New Life with 17 points.
The Eagles started sloppy with 12 turnovers in the first half, but finished with a 21-to-7 surge going into halftime. Lutes scored
seven of her 11 points during the run.
