Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- If it happened in the Northland boxing scene during the last 15 years, chances are Chuck Horton was a part of it, as a promoter, trainer, or a coach.
Horton retired this past Friday after one final fight card held at Grandma's Sports Garden in Duluth, ending a long career as a staple of Northland boxing.
His events have been held at several venues around the Northland, including the DECC, Wessman Arena, Grandma's Sports Garden, and Clyde Iron.
In retirement, Horton plans to spend more time with his wife, Carinda, and their five children.
In his absence, he has turned over his operations to others, including his most successful product, Zach 'Jungle Boy' Walters.
