  Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Larry Miller was the starting quarterback of the 1987 Minnesota Vikings, leading a team of unknowns during the last NFL work stoppage.

  Two Harbors, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- 16 former Minnesota Vikings players were in Two Harbors this past weekend, helping to raise money for student-athletes at Two Harbors High School.

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UMD will induct its newest class into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame in September, including coaches who, together, have amassed thousands of wins for the Bulldogs.

  Ely, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Tom Coombe has coached both the BEST baseball team and the Ely Legion team for nearly two decades, having led both teams to multiple state tournaments.

• Turn Back the Clock: Grandma's Marathon Record-Holder Dick Beardsley

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Dick Beardsley ran the 1981 Grandma's Marathon in 2:09:37, faster than anyone ever had before, and faster than anyone ever has since.

• Turn Back the Clock: '98-'99 UWS Men's Hockey

  Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The 1998-99 UWS men's hockey team finished second in the nation. Now, in 2011, the team will be inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame.

• Turn Back the Clock: Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame

  Green Bay, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Green Bay Packers inducted three new members into the team's Hall of Fame this past weekend.

• Turn Back the Clock: Hibbing's Serena Sullivan

  Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- With a time of 31:15 last Friday, former Hibbing Bluejacket star Serena Sullivan took home the women's title in the 40th annual Park Point 5-Miler, with over 500 runners taking part in the event.
