10/15: UMD's Nielson Happy with Long Road Trip

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) head football coach Bob Nielson was thrilled with his team's performance on one of the longest road trips this season, that a 44-6 win at Minot State this past Saturday afternoon.

Nielson saw his team jump out to a 27-0 lead after the first quarter and a 41-0 advantage after the first half, allowing him to rest some players and play his reserves for much of the second 30 minutes.

Nielson made his comments while appearing on the weekly show, "Bulldog Country," which airs Friday and Saturday nights on the My 9 Sports Network.
