Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) football head coach Bob Nielson said that his team has known all year they are in a position to play themselves into the NCAA Division II playoffs, and that is how it remains after last week's 38-14 win over Minnesota-Crookston.

Nielson said field conditions were less than ideal at Minnesota-Crookston, but his players made it work and jumped out to a 38-0 lead at halftime en route to the win.

Nielson made his comments while appearing on the weekly show, "Bulldog Country," which airs Friday and Saturday nights on the My 9 Sports Network.
