South Bend, IN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Four different players scored goals for the #9-ranked Notre Dame men's hockey team on Friday night, leading the Fighting Irish to a 4-1 win over the #13-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD).
The UMD loss means a split for the two teams in the two-game series, with the Bulldogs earning a 3-1 win on Thursday night in the opener.
Junior goaltender Aaron Crandall was very busy for the Bulldogs, stopping 36 of 40 shots in the losing effort.
Freshman forward Tony Camaranesi was the lone UMD player to score, tallying his first collegiate goal on a power play in the second period to make it a 3-1 game.
UMD is now (2-2-0) this season and will next open play in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) against Wisconsin.
The Badgers will visit AMSOIL Arena on October 26-27, with both games set to start at 7:07 p.m. Those contests can be seen on live television in the Northland on the My 9 Sports Network.
