#6 Bulldogs Sweep NMU, Stay Unbeaten

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #6-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep of Northern Michigan on Tuesday night, moving to (5-0) in the 2012 season.

Hibbing native and UMD junior outside hitter Kate Lange had a match-high 13 kills and added 10 digs to earn her fourth double-double of the season.

Senior middle blocker Kalli Lochner also reached double digits in kills, putting down 10 on just 16 swings for UMD. Sophomore setter Jaclyn Barrette was also strong, dishing out 38 assists and adding 11 digs.

The Bulldogs have not lost a home opener since 1995, and the team will be back on its home floor this weeked to host the UMD Volleyball Classic.
