After Sweep, UMD Still #10 in USCHO Poll

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Following two losses this past weekend on the road against #1-ranked Minnesota, the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team is still ranked #10 this week in the U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO) poll.

UMD lost 5-0 and 6-2 against the Golden Gophers at Ridder Arena, with Minnesota staying unbeaten this season and extending its NCAA-record winning streak to 36 games.

The Bulldogs are now (13-10-3) overall this year and (9-1-0) within the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), which puts them now in a three-way tie for third place.

UMD is next in action Feb. 9-10 when they host Minnesota State-Mankato at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn. Both those games are scheduled to start at 3:07 p.m.
