Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) sophomore forward Zoe Hickel has been named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) offensive player of the week, it was announced on Wednesday.

Hickel scored two goals, both of them game-winners, and added an assist this past weekend as UMD earned a weekend road sweep of Bemidji State. The two games extended Hickel's current career-best scoring streak to six games for the Bulldogs.

The Anchorage, Alaska native is currently the Bulldogs' scoring leader with seven goals and five assists in the 2012-13 season, and UMD boasts a (4-1-1) record in games she scores a goal.
