Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team got swept by No. 1 University of Minnesota last weekend but hope to get back to their winning ways against MSU-Mankato.

The Bulldogs lost on Friday night 4-0 and on Saturday night 6-3, but head coach Shannon Miller knows the score sheet doesn't always tell the whole story.

"We played fantastic," said Miller. "Minnesota on paper is the No. 1 ranked team in the country, and obviously on a hot winning streak. We went toe to toe with them on Saturday night. When we are mentally disciplined, we are good.

The No. 1 Gophers have now win 55 games in a row. The Bulldogs travel to MSU-Mankato on Friday to take on the Mavericks.
