Bulldogs React to Tough Draw at NCAA Tourney

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team is in what can easily be called the toughest region of the 2012 NCAA Division II tournament, with all of the eight teams ranked 16th or higher in the nation.

The Bulldogs are the #5 seed in the Central region, drawing #4 seed Central Missouri as a first-round opponent in the NCAA tournament. That match is set for 5:00 p.m. on November 29 at the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul, Minn.

UMD is (28-4) overall this season and finished in a three-way tie with Concordia-St. Paul and Southwest Minnesota State for first in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).

This marks UMD's 11th consecutive appearance at the NCAA tournament, with the program making its 15th trip overall.

Below are listed all the matches in the 2012 NCAA Division II Central Region, with the championship match to be played December 1 at the Gangelhoff Center on the Concordia-St. Paul campus.
