Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota Duluth senior goaltender Aaron Crandall etched his name into the Bulldog record books last weekend after stopping 90 of 93 shots in the sweep and will likely get a chance to do so again this weekend.

Crandall was named the NCHC Goaltender of the Week after he led the Bulldogs to back-to-back wins, his first conference weekly honor of any kind.

After his performance against the Mavericks, his teammates aren't afraid to give him the nod with the Pioneers coming into town on Friday.

"When your goaltender's playing like, it's easier to play your own game because you know if you do make a mistake, he's back there to cover you," said Bulldogs sophomore forward Tony Cameranesi.
