Crandall Stops 52 Shots, 'Dogs Get the Sweep

Omaha, NE (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey team used a 52 save performance from senior Aaron Crandall and two goals by Joe Basaraba to beat NCHC foe Nebraska Omaha 3-1 on Saturday night for the weekend sweep.

Crandall racked up a career high with 52 saves for the Bulldogs. Caleb Herbert also scored for UMD to go along with Basaraba's two goals.

The Bulldogs ended up with just 13 shots on goal while Crandall stopped 90 of 93 shots from Omaha over the two day series.

UMD (9-8-1) returns home to host NCHC rival Denver on Friday and Saturday night at AMSOIL.
