Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #6-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team got a 3-1 win over #4-ranked Concordia-St. Paul, putting the Bulldogs in the early driver's seat for a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) regular season title.

Hibbing native Kate Lange pounded a match-high 25 kills in the winning effort for UMD, helping defeat the five-time defending NCAA Division II champion Golden Bears.

Maddy Siroin, Monica Turner, and Mariah Schraf also finished with double-digit kills for the Bulldogs, improving the team's record to (14-1) this season.

UMD is again at home on Saturday afternoon, taking on another top 10 conference opponent in #10-ranked Minnesota State-Mankato. That match is set for a 4:00 p.m. start at Romano Gymnasium in Duluth.
