Tampa, FL (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) forward J.T. Brown is not particiapting in the training camp of the Tampa Bay Lightning, and he will be out six to eight weeks with a fractured collarbone.
The Tampa Bay Times was the first to report Brown's injury, coming in late December while he was playing for Syracuse in the American Hockey League (AHL).
The former Bulldog will miss six to eight weeks with the injury, all but ensuring he will not see time with Tampa Bay in the NHL during this lockout-shortened season.
Brown had six goals and 11 assists in 26 games with Syracuse before being hurt, that after recording a single assist in five games with Tampa Bay last season after being signed after his sophomore season at UMD.
