Ex-Bulldog Brown Re-Signs with Lightning

Tampa Bay, FL (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) forward has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the team announced on Monday.

The 23-year-old Brown skated in 51 games with Syracuse of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2012-13, totaling 10 goals and 18 assists.

Brown signed a two-year contract with Tampa Bay following his sophomore season at UMD, making his NHL debut on March 31, 2012 and then recording his first NHL point on April 7, 2012.

In 81 games wearing a Bulldogs jersey, Brown totaled 40 goals and 44 assists while helping UMD win the 2011 NCAA Division I championship and being named the Frozen Four's most outstanding player as a freshman.
