Lange Hits Kill No. 2000, Bulldogs Advance

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team swept Wayne State in straight sets on Saturday afternoon in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) semifinals in St. Paul, Minn.

Senior outside hitter and Hibbing native Kate Lange surpassed 2,000 kills for her career during the match and now has 2,003 all-time. She finished with 18 kills.

Freshman Sydnie Mauch added 12 kills while sophomore setter Ashley Hinsch had 49 of UMD's 54 assists.

UMD will face off with Concordia-St. Paul tomorrow in the NSIC Championship at 2:00 p.m.
