Lange, No. 2 Bulldogs Sweep the Peacocks

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The second-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team earned a sweep over the University of Upper Iowa for their fourth consecutive home match to start the 2013 season.

Senior outside hitter Kate Lange led all players with 17 kills and moved her way into the third spot all-time for kills with 1,697.

Sopohmore middle blocker Monica Turner recorded 11 kills while sophomore setter Ashley Hinsch dished out 44 assists.On defense, Julie Rainey led the Bulldogs with 16 digs.

UMD returns to action on Saturday when they host Winona State University. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
