Lange Smashes Bulldogs to NSIC Semifinals

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Hibbing, Minn. native Kate Lange finished with a match-high 12 kills on Wednesday night to lead the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Sioux Falls in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) quarterfinals.

Monica Turner was also in double digits with 10 kills, while Herbster, Wis. native Maddy Siroin added nine in the Bulldogs' winning effort.

Julie Rainey finished with 15 digs in the match for UMD, and Ashley Hinsch had 35 set assists for the winning side.

UMD is now (29-2) this season and will next take on Wayne State in the NSIC semifinals, with that match scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Nov. 23 in St. Paul, Minn.
