Newman Leads the 'Dogs Past the Mustangs

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) junior guard Jessica Newman led all scorers with 17 points as the Bulldogs hung on to beat the University of Sioux Falls 64-60 on Saturday at Romano Gymnasium.

UMD junior Danielle Flood added 13 points including 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Senior center Hannah Rutten racked up 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds.

UMD (9-5) will hit the road again next weekend against NSIC North foe Minot State on Friday, Jan. 17 at 6:00 p.m.
