No. 1 'Dogs Sweep the Huskies in Home Opener

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 1 University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team swept Michigan Tech 3-0 on Tuesday night in their home opener and first match since being named the top team in Division II.

UMD won 25-14, 25-18, and 2514 to win their ninth straight match and move to 9-0 on the early season. The Bulldogs improve to 26-7 all-time versus the Huskies.

Due to technical difficulties by UMD, stats for the match were not immediately available. Please check back later for a full recap.

Both head coach Jim Boos and senior outside hitter Kate Lange were honored before the match. Boos won his 300th game at UMD while Lange went over 1,500 kills in her career at the West Florida Opening Weekend Tournament.
