Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) ---The No. 20 University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team jumped out to a 2-1 lead before No. 11 North Dakota rattled off five unanswered goals to get past the Bulldogs 6-2 and earn the weekend sweep.
Kyle Osterberg and Caleb Herbert each scored for the Bulldogs in the first period to give UMD a one-goal lead. From there, it was all North Dakota which included a four-goal second period.
Matt McNeely started the game in net for UMD but was pulled in the second after giving up four goals on 32 shots. Aaron Crandall finished the remainder of the game and allowed two goals on eight shots.
UMD has now lost four in a row and sits in sixth place in the NCHC. The Bulldogs will travel to Miami next weekend for their final regular season road series.
