Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Stephanie Reiter will join the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's basketball team as an assistant coach starting in the 2013-14 season, returning to the school and the program from which she graduated just four years ago.
Reiter will take over for Jess Abrahams, who resigned following this past season after five years with UMD to explore other opportunities.
"We had a very thorough national search which attracted a large pool of applicants, and Steph surfaced as the number one candidate," UMD head coach Annette Wiles said. "She brings a wealth of experience from three different institutions along with a lot of energy and enthusiasm."
The 27-year-old played four seasons with UMD, sitting out the 2005-06 yeat with a knee injury. She was named to the conference all-academic team three times, and she made the dean's list in all 10 of her semesters at UMD.
