(NNCNOW.com) --- Three Northlanders are among the top 200 North American skaters ahead of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, that according to the midterm rankings released on Monday by the NHL Central Scouting Service.
Hermantown, Minn. native and University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Neal Pionk is the top-rated skater from the Northland at No. 91. He is currently playing for Sioux City of the United States Hockey League (USHL), where he has totaled no goals and 12 assists in 28 games.
Esko, Minn. native and fellow UMD commit Karson Kuhlman is right behind Pionk at No. 92 on the midterm list. He is currently playing with Dubuque in the USHL and has totaled 12 goals and eight assists in 26 games.
Rounding out the Northland trio on the list is Duluth, Minn. native and University of Nebraska-Omaha commit Jake Randolph at No. 197. He is playing this season for Omaha in the USHL and has 16 goals and 42 assists through 35 games.
